 Introduction to EXOS 

ExtremeXOS is the software or the network operating system used in newer Extreme Networks network switches. It is Extreme Networks second generation operating system after the VxWorks based ExtremeWare operating system.

For CISCO, backgrounds person, this is a new switch but, this switch also used a lot in computer networking. EXOS usually comes with both type of switches i.e. Layer 3 ( Chassis ), & simple Layer 2 switches.

EXOS vs other Vendor Switches

Now, the point comes that how EXOS is different from other vendor like CISCO, HP, D-Link. You know every other vendor product's have some advantage and disadvantage. If we compare EXOS i.e. EXOS with other switch we found that EXOS have all these facility that provide by different vendors like CISCO or others. Along with this, the main advantage is that the cost of the EXOS is low as compare to other vendors. If you have knowledge of networking you can easily configure it without any doubt.
